Acceptable Use Policy

Effective July 23, 2026

This document is a working template that has not yet been reviewed by an attorney. It reflects how drivway operates today, but it is not legal advice and may be revised.

1. Scope

This policy is part of the Terms & Conditions and applies to everyone on drivway — customers and technicians alike. The platform works because customers can trust what they see; these rules protect that.

2. Honest reviews and ratings

Reviews must reflect a genuine job a customer actually engaged you for. Do not write reviews of your own business, trade reviews with other technicians, pay for reviews, or pressure customers to change or remove a review. The full rules — including what we will and will not remove — are in Terms & Conditions §5.

3. Genuine verification

Everything submitted for verification — ID documents, selfies, certifications, proof-of-work photos — must be authentic and yours. Submitting forged, borrowed, or altered documents results in permanent removal from the platform.

4. Respectful communication

Messaging is for arranging the job. No harassment, threats, discrimination, or spam. Do not use contact details obtained through drivway for unrelated marketing.

5. No fraud or scams

No bait-and-switch pricing (advertising one price on your profile, then demanding a materially higher one for the same agreed work), no soliciting payment for work you do not intend to perform, no phishing other users, and no misrepresenting your affiliation, qualifications, or location. Minnesota’s Truth in Repairs Act (Minn. Stat. §§ 325F.56–325F.66) governs estimates and invoices, and complying with it is the technician’s own responsibility — see Subscription Agreement §5.1.

6. No abuse of the platform

No scraping or bulk-harvesting profiles, no automated account creation, no attempts to bypass the technician verification gate or the security rules that protect other users’ data, and no use of drivway for anything illegal.

7. Enforcement

Depending on severity, we may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts — permanently for fraud, fake verification, or safety issues. Where the law requires it, we may also report conduct to authorities.

Reporting. You can report a review, a message, or a technician from where it appears — in the app and on this site. We review reports and act on the ones that break this policy; we don’t share the outcome of individual reports. You can also email support@drivway.co.

Blocking. You can block anyone. Once you do, neither of you can message the other or start a new job together. Messages already sent stay in both people’s job history — a job record isn’t erased by a block. Manage your blocked list under Account.

Filtering. Reviews, messages, and profile text are checked for slurs and abusive language when you submit them. That check is a filter, not a substitute for reporting.
